High-level Political Forum Special Events – 10-18 July 2023
The HLPF 2023, convened under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council, will be held from Monday, 10 July, to Friday, 14 July 2023 in New York. The high-level segment of the Council, including the three-day ministerial segment of the HLPF, will be held from Monday, 17 July, to Thursday, 20 July 2023. The theme will be “Accelerating the recovery from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at all levels”. The HLPF in 2023 will review in-depth SDGs 6, 7, 9, 11, and 17. It will be a pre-summit for preparing for the SDG Summit to be held in September 2023. The following 40 presenters will carry out voluntary national reviews (VNRs) of their implementation of the 2030 Agenda at the HLPF 2023: Bahrain, Barbados, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brunei Darussalam, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Canada, Central African Republic, Comoros, Chile, Croatia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, European Union, Fiji, France, Guyana, Iceland, Ireland, Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Maldives,
Mongolia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, St Kitts & Nevis, Syrian Arab Republic, Tajikistan, Timor-Leste, Turkmenistan, United Republic of Tanzania, Uzbekistan, Viet Nam, Zambia.
The HLPF also conducts regular reviews of the Sustainable Development Goals

The July session of the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) will feature a series of high-level special events that highlight the contributions of key sectors, such as higher education institutions, the private sector, local governments, and parliamentarians, to making the SDGs a reality for all.
